SAFEGUARDING
RESOUND is committed to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults as a core part of its mission and ministry, creating a culture where every young person and adult is valued, protected, and safe to worship, grow in their walk with God and in community with others.
We do all we can to ensure that RESOUND events, gatherings and personnel are ‘safe’ – we believe that the safety and welfare of those who attend our gatherings is vital and we take all necessary steps to do this well.
RESOUND follows robust policies and procedures to ensure that good practice is followed throughout all of its activities. These policies and procedures reflect our ongoing desire to:
Value, listen to and respect young people and adults, as well as promoting their welfare and protection.
Ensure all who come into contact with young people and vulnerable adults through our activities are recruited safely and appropriately supervised and trained.
Adopt a procedure for dealing with concerns about possible abuse.
Encourage, support, and empower individuals, parents, and carers.
Support all those affected either directly or indirectly by abuse.
Maintain good links and share relevant information with relevant statutory agencies and other organisations.
